Chromoly Steel Tubing

Chromoly is a family of SAE steel grades, formally classified as 41xx steel. Alloyed with chromium and molybdenum, chromoly tubing offers an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. It is considerably stronger and harder than standard 1020 steel.
 
Common applications for round chromoly tubing include roll cages, pressurized gas systems, bicycle frames, firearm parts and aerospace components.

Available Chromoly Tubing Sizes

• Wall thicknesses from 0.058” to 0.250”
• ODs ranging from 1/4” to 2”

DOM Steel Tubing

DOM tubing is welded round steel tube from which the internal weld seam has been removed to create a smooth internal surface. DOM, or Drawn Over Mandrel, tubing generally exhibits precise dimensional accuracy, tight tolerances, and a very smooth, uniform inside and outside finish.

DOM tubing is commonly used in more challenging applications that require superior mechanical properties, high quality, uniformity and strength, and a sound seam.

Available DOM Tubing Sizes

• Wall thicknesses from 0.058” to 0.375”
• ODs ranging from 3/8” to 3.5”
